Solid gold is a precious metal that will last many lifetimes and can easily become cherished heirlooms.

There are different karats of gold, which determine the amount of gold and other metals. Gold purity measured in parts of 24. Each karat is 1/24 gold by weight.


24K (99.9%): 24 parts of gold

18K (75%): 18 parts gold and 6 parts of other metals

14K (58.3%): 14 parts gold and 10 parts of other metals

9K (37.5%): 9 parts gold and 15 parts of other metals

The mixture of other metals depends on what colour you are trying to make (yellow, rose, or white)

The higher the karat, the purer the gold.
The lower the karat, the less expensive because it is using less gold.
